Cjay Boisclair

Lights. Camera. Amplifriday!

If this nomination has you feeling a little Hollywood-ish, you’re not alone as we’re a little starry-eyed too at today’s nominated individual.

Read why Anna Harrison nominated Cjay Boisclair to spend a little time basking in the #Amplifriday spotlight!

Anna writes: “Cjay is the owner of Askem Productions and the founder of YKA Film Society. Cjay has been instrumental in bringing film productions to Kamloops. In the last couple of years, I believe she was the Director of eight movies filmed in our region.
She has also written and produced a number of short films which have won many awards, including the first short film which started it all. That film ended up with over 75 nominations with awards from over 100 film festivals internationally!”

In a post from Women in the Director’s Chair (WIDC), an organization that provides professional and creative development to mid-career Canadian women and non-binary directors of screen-based fiction, Cjay is noted for “supporting others’ visions while creating her own using the skills she has acquired to create interesting and compelling films. She has a passionate drive for the industry, currently developing a feature script, web-series, and locally made shorts.” Clearly, the Kamloops community is blessed to have Cjay to amplify our region and talented people.

Cjay – you are a remarkable person of impact! As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

Recently, we amplified the remarkable impact of Cjay Boisclair. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individual, and Cjay's close connections to film made the Kamloops Film Society (KFS) an obvious choice.

The mission of the KFS is to bring the best in independent, Canadian and foreign cinema to Kamloops. Kelson Group and Ron Fawcett's support has allowed the KFS to bring culturally viable theatre to Kamloops with their Thursday Film Series, Indigenous Film Festival, French Film Festival and more. In addition, the society periodically offers grants to promote and support filmmaking and related visual media in the Kamloops area.
