Haley Baker

A nomination for today’s #Amplifriday feature is a Mom with a bright future ahead for both her and her son. We thank Leann Kopytko, co-founder of the Out of the Ashes Bursary, for sending in this lovely nomination to spotlight Haley Baker!

Leann writes: “Haley is a young mom, parenting a 5-year-old son with autism and doing an amazing job! She is completing her Human Service Worker Diploma Program with a vision to carry on toward a Bachelor of Social Work. She is a remarkable student, achieving As and Bs throughout her schooling, plus working parttime where she learns about cultural intentionality practice and loves the diverse group of people she works with.

Haley is a young mom, parenting a 5-year-old son with autism and doing an amazing job!

As a person, Haley is spiritual and gentle in her approach, and loves to spend time in nature. She is part of the recovery fellowship (AA) community in Kamloops, and she loves to give back. She was also chosen to receive the Out of the Ashes Bursary in 2022 and 2023. We are very excited and happy to honour the work Haley is committed to and the amazing human being she is!”

We loved to learn that Haley loves spending time with her son and learning how to parent a child with autism, noting too that she shares her story of addiction to wellness with her classmates to help everyone learn.

Haley – you are a remarkable person of impact. As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

We were happy to amplify the remarkable impact of Haley Baker recently. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individual, and Haley chose Day One Society’s Out of the Ashes Bursary

"Day One Society has helped change many people’s lives around, and this bursary allows students who have been in dark places to begin to work towards something that helps them see the light at the end of the tunnel," explains Haley.

Created in 2007 as a prevention initiative, the Out of the Ashes bursary provides educational support to a young person in Kamloops who has at least one year in recovery. To date, over 45 bursaries have been awarded.

Congratulations again, Haley, on being amplified; we are proud to contribute to the Out of Ashes Bursary by making a $100 donation in your honour.
