Jennifer Gunter

Leaders of non-profit organizations play a special role in our society. Not only do they drive toward a vision to help their organization succeed in its mission to make an impact for its stakeholders, but when led by a person who exhibits character, kindness, and grace, the journey is a lot sweeter. This is true for the person in the #Amplifriday spotlight today, Jennifer Gunter, executive director of the BC Community Forest Association (BCCFA) who is nominated to be amplified by her two work colleagues.

Carly Dow writes: “Jen is an absolute powerhouse and is one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever worked with. Not only is she sharply intelligent, driven and dedicated, but she is also inclusive, passionate, thoughtful, and approachable. She's simply remarkable! She is everything you’d want in a leader. Advocating for community forestry has been her life's work and the BCCFA is fortunate to have her guidance and perseverance.”

Susan Mulkey writers: “I first met Jen when she was a master’s student, and the Kaslo Community Forest was her case study. My good fortune is that I have been able to work with her in community forestry ever since and to experience first-hand her extraordinary growth from a student to a skilled, dynamic, and trusted leader and colleague in the forest sector.”

Jen is an absolute powerhouse and is one of the most inspiring people I’ve ever worked with.

If you’re a leader, I’m certain you read this and think, “I want to become a leader more like Jennifer. One who does impactful work and is so respected by her colleagues.” Jennifer is certainly a dynamic person who is creating significant change in our province in the forestry sector and with the people she works collaboratively with.

Jennifer – you are a remarkable person of impact. As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

Last week, we had the privilege of amplifying the incredible impact of Jennifer Gunter. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individuals, and Jennifer selected Plan International Canada's Because I am a Girl Project.

Jennifer explains that she chose this charity “because of its positive impact in supporting girls around the world to access education and health, safeguarding and promoting their rights.”

Because I am a Girl Project supports gender equality-focused programs like young women’s entrepreneurial initiatives. It helps girls complete their education and train as teachers. Their work impacts girls living in Bangladesh, Niger, Colombia, Tanzania, Mali, Ghana, Zimbabwe, and the Philippines. Plan Canada affirms,

“When girls are educated, healthy and informed, they can successfully advocate for and lead change in their lives, in their community and around the world.”

Congratulations again, Jennifer, on being amplified; we are happy to make a $100 donation to Plan International Canada’s Because I am a Girl Project in your honour.
