Michelle Raglin

On this #Amplifriday we believe you will be INSPIRED! We have a nomination from Leann Kopytko for Michelle Raglin, a back-to-back Out of the Ashes bursary recipient who we are so proud to shine the Amplifriday spotlight on today.

Leann writes: “Michelle is strong in her own personal commitment to her daily recovery lifestyle and her personal life experiences shaped her identity. She graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and graduated with Distinction while she juggled her own studies in Philosophy, Leading and Mentoring for Supplemental Learning, being a Teaching Assistant, and supporting students as a Peer Academic Coach! She has been accepted into the Master of Arts in Human Rights and Social Justice and is currently in fulltime studies at Thompson Rivers University.

Michelle is strong in her own personal commitment to her daily recovery lifestyle and her personal life experiences shaped her identity.

Michelle is incredibly enthusiastic in giving back to her community by helping others toward recovery through the 12 Step Fellowship of Narcotics Anonymous, and she sponsors many women whom she adores and cheers on to succeed. She is learning about and engaging in activism which brings her to do the work she is most passionate about in the areas of addiction, mental health, and homelessness. Most importantly, Michelle communicates and shares her life experience, her perseverance, strength, and hopes that she shares with others. She easily shares her own story of struggle to encourage others to overcome their own struggles, to find hope and light at the end of the tunnel. It has been an honor to get to know Michelle and to walk beside her for she is incredibly knowledgeable, approachable, and personable.”

We, like Leann, wish Michelle every success in her continued endeavors and we invite you to join us in honouring her! Michelle – you are a remarkable person of impact. As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

We were excited to amplify the remarkable impact of Michelle Raglin recently. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individual, and Michelle chose Day One Society’s Out of the Ashes Bursary (OOTA).

Instituted in 2007 as a prevention initiative, the OOTA bursary provides educational support to a young person in Kamloops who has at least one year in recovery.

“The work that this organization does to help people struggling with addiction is incredible. They support those willing to give recovery a chance through all stages, from detox to bursaries for school and so much more. As a two-time recipient of the Out of the Ashes Bursary, I can attest to the love and support the people who run this organization put into their work. Knowing them has added to the community I've built that encourages, cheers and facilitates my recovery efforts. I love sharing my experience, strength, and hope with anyone who will listen,” shares Michelle.

Congratulations again, Michelle, on being amplified; we are proud to contribute to the Out of Ashes Bursary by making a $100 donation in your honour.
