Mike Miltimore

Ludwig van Beethoven is credited for saying, “Music can change the world,” and today’s Amplifriday spotlight shines on a musician/entrepreneur creatively changing the world through music and design.

We love nominations for Amplifriday where one remarkable person of impact makes the effort to recognize another, and we’re thrilled for the nomination of Mike Miltimore by his equally amplifiable sister, Trisha.

Trisha writes: “Mike Miltimore is one of those humans that exudes contagious positive energy. He is an Energizer bunny with endless energy supporting others’ dreams and goals. Having this person in your orbit is both entertaining and empowering. I have seen firsthand the ripples of impact he has created via his enthusiasm, innovation, and community service.“

Mike, indeed, is a force with a ripple effect. He grew up in the family’s business, Lee’s Music, surrounded by guitars. As a man with a passion for innovation, he recognized that there may be a better design for a guitar, and then made it happen with Riversong Guitars and a patented neck-thru design. While oftentimes we accept the design of things as they are, Mike is one of those people who sees that something could be better, strives for excellence, and the results are incredible. Riversong Guitars recently beat out Taylor Guitars, Martin Guitars, and Yamaha for acoustic guitar of the year. It’s when we consistently strive for excellence, that the success comes.

Mike – you are a remarkable person of impact! As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

We were pleased to amplify the remarkable impact of Mike Miltimore last week. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individual, and Mike has chosen the Kamloops Food Bank.

The food bank's Executive Director, Bernadette Siracky, says,

"The need is certainly great in our community."

The Kamloops Food Banks' mission is "Sharing food. Feeding hope." In 2022, they handed out the equivalent of 11 Million dollars in food and served more than 700 families weekly. There is a growing need for seniors, refugees from Ukraine and students, as reflected by their new policy, inviting TRU Students to access the Kamloops Food Bank once every six weeks.

Congratulations again Mike on being amplified; we are proud to make a $100 donation to the Kamloops Food Bank in your honour.
