Nyasha Manyanye

Homelessness is a large challenge in many communities, including Kamloops. I’ve thought about how it would feel to be without safe, stable shelter and what I would do. Although the homelessness situation can feel daunting, the passion and persistence to provide care and connection to hope is what Nyasha Manyanye brings to his work with the Mustard Seed Kamloops, day in and day out. And we’re shining the #Amplifriday spotlight on him!

Nyasha is the Operations Manager at the Mustard Seed Kamloops. The only thing bigger than his heart, would be his smile, and he treats people, no matter their background or current situation, with dignity and kindness. His work colleague, Managing Director Kelly Thomson shares:

“Nyasha is a hands-on Director of Operations. He can see what is coming and work with his team on the ground to address any issues in a quick and effective way. His ability to work with people by lovingly showing the way enables him to build strong, resilient teams who move together and support each other. Nyasha’s teams has shown many times that they have his back and always step up when needed. His love for our vulnerable population is an inspiration to see.”

Nyasha moved to Canada to attend Thompson Rivers University and after obtaining his Business Administration diploma, has gone on to people-centric roles working with seniors, youth, and some of our most vulnerable people in community who lack stable housing. He takes on challenges in a thoughtful way, and oozes kindness and grace in every interaction.

Nyasha – you are a remarkable person of impact! As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

We were thrilled to amplify the remarkable impact of Nyasha Manyanye last week. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individual, and Nyasha has chosen Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society (KAFS).

The Kamloops Aboriginal Friendship Society provides culturally appropriate programs and inclusive services that meet the needs of urban Indigenous people to become healthier, physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Nyasha remarked, "I would like the money to go towards their Street Outreach program. Their program is client-centred, catering to the basic needs of our brothers and sisters living in the streets. I like how their Street Outreach workers go above and beyond to support homeless people with respect and dignity. I also like how they blend in and promote their culture through all their programs. This is a great opportunity for folks to learn more about their culture and traditions."

Congratulations again Nyasha on being amplified; we are excited to make a $100 donation to KAFS in your honour.
