Tara Holmes

Can you hear that laugh? It’s one of the signature features of the powerhouse woman in the #Amplifriday spotlight today. That, and her outgoing personality and love of community. This woman is so outstanding, Rose Choy took the time to send in a nomination for the unique and one-of-a-kind Tara Holmes.

Rose writes: “I would like to nominate Tara for Amplifriday. Tara is a remarkable woman whose passion for her community shines through in every aspect of her life. She is a dedicated advocate for local businesses, a fervent supporter of community initiatives, and a reliable source of help for anyone in need.

Volunteering is second nature to Tara, as she actively seeks opportunities to contribute to the well-being of Kamloops. Tara’s laugh is awesome – a unique, happy, loud, and positively contagious burst of joy. It's a sound that resonates with everyone who knows her, creating an atmosphere of warmth and camaraderie wherever she goes. Tara embodies the spirit of community, from her passion for running to her unwavering support for local businesses and her selfless acts of kindness. Her infectious positivity and boundless enthusiasm make her a driving force in creating a tight-knit and flourishing community that others are proud to be a part of.”

She is a dedicated advocate for local businesses, a fervent supporter of community initiatives, and a reliable source of help for anyone in need.

Wow, right? Tara won an Exemplary Service award from the City of Kamloops in 2021 recognizing her volunteering efforts for wonderful non-profit organizations such as Boogie the Bridge, Run Club, Rotary Ribfest, Terry Fox Run, Operation Red Nose, and many more. A dynamo if there ever was one!

Tara – you are a remarkable person of impact. As is our team at Amplify Consulting Inc.’s commitment, we will donate $100 to a charity of your choice to further amplify both your remarkable impact and the charity’s.

We were elated to amplify the remarkable impact of Tara Holmes last week. As a part of AmpliFriday, we donate $100 to a charity of choice for our amplified individual, and Tara chose the Kamloops Food Bank.

“My eyes were opened on a recent tour of the Kamloops Food Bank because of the increased demand in people utilizing their services. I was impressed that no food ends up in the landfill or goes to waste. Any product that can’t go to people gets sent to farms for animals.”

The Kamloops Food Bank was founded in 1981. Although it operates independently, they are a member in good standing of Food Banks BC. In 2023, the Kamloops Food Bank won the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Award in the Inclusive Leadership / Business of the Year category and was recognized by the Recycling Council of BC for its Environmental Stewardship.

Congratulations again, Tara, on being amplified; we are happy to make a $100 donation to the Kamloops Food Bank in your honour.
